scary haunted house

Hey Uncle Matt, Our house looks like a haunted house. Doesn't it? With the scary scarecrow, and you can see lights. Those are our jack-o-lanterns. We carved our own jack-o-lanterns.
Mommy, our house looks spooky inside because of those things (ghost heads). We're going to eat stichers. They crawl all around our house. They are things that we eat on "Halloweeeeeen Niyght" (said in a spooky voice).

pumkin orchard

Well, I had a fun time at the apple orchard. We ran around and there was a park. At the end Stewart ran into the hay maze and I caught him and I told him he could go the rest of the way through. I picked pumkins and I went way out there by myself Uncle Matt, can you beleive it? We got 4 pumkins.

making donuts

It was fun making donuts at my grandpa's and grandma's house. I liked dipping them in icing because I got to lick my fingers. I liked the vanilla ones.

Spider World class

I had a fun time at Spider World Class. I did lots of fun things like make these spiders over here. One has 8 eyes and one has 9. I made webs too, I just made them there. We don't have pictures of the webs.
Arachnids are another name for spiders.
Oh bummer! I was supposed to put another one of those furry stuff on it's head because I lost one and it fell off, they were just glued. It fell off in the bag.
Their names are, Michael and Joshua. Michael is the one with the green smile.
Actually they had buckets of spiders. Real spiders in them. The first one was a tarantula, the second one was a banana, and the third one was a jumping spider. The banana one was the one that I think we saw in our garden. But they're not dangerous. Actually they don't have any bites, only if you smack them or flick them off. But that spider, when I touched it, it jumped on. It jumped on my shoe, and I flicked it off with my hand.
The banana spider was like this big (cups his hand), or maybe as big as my palm. The tarantula was as big as my fist. The jumping spider was called a monkey spider. They told us all of them were from the biggest jungle in the world (that I thought of). In the country California. Yeah, they told me it was from Costa Rica. Yes, the other one was from Australia.
They live in trees. One of them lives in the ground. The tarantula does.
That's all I want to say. Bye.

Stewart, we're going to see some scary monsters today. So watch out. Are you ready to take cover?

I like playing at the Monster Manor. Stewart was scared when he first got in, but now he's not (maybe). If he's scared, we'll just comfort him and say Mama's here, and Marshall and Nigel's here.
I remember the Monster Manor from last year. Oh, Uncle Matt, you should have been there! I remember that we went in a rolling bush thing. It was like crazy, dude. We walked through it and it felt wobly, like we were spinning around. It made me dizzy, like crazy, man, CRAZY! We will never go on that path again. (Oh, I was just kidding, we will.)

Boo!
I scared you.

Moo!
I dare you.

Peuw!
Prepare you.

(funny ryhme isn't it?)
Well, Uncle Matt, that's all. Uncle Matt, I forgot something... call me!

crystal tree

We started the experiment at 8:34. We took pictures of this tree. This isn't a real tree it's an experiment. Oh you'll think it is, but it's not a real tree. It started out with nothing on the branches. It grew into the picture you see. We wanted to see what it was made of. So, we looked in the microscope. It looked like little hairs. I had an idea to take a picture through the microscope. My dad says these are crystals.

forest center

You see that (picture 1)? That's a lake. I know it looks like wood, but it isn't. You see that water running there? Look very closely. That water was running inside ther forest center. Not outside, but inside.
This one (picture 2) looks like it's night but it's not. Because of the lights in the background. Look very closely.
That's how it all began. An inside forest. It was 2 hours from our house. We went to the Forest Discovery Center.
The plant is where all these machines come out. We were on the bridge and they were under us. There were forklifts, and rollers. And the wood peice comes out of metal sawer and then it squeezes through. We followed the blue arrows all the way through. This picture (3) has sawdust in it. The sawdust comes from the plant. They press it together and make boards out of it.

just like my soccer ball

I kicked the soccer ball all the way accross the field. Can you believe it Uncle Matt? Will you call me Uncle Matt?
And I almost made a goal. It was a miracle. Wasn't it crazy. And I just barely made it. Stewart kicked the ball across the soccer field while they were playing. And we screamed at him from the other side. And we went over there to get him.

big, big, big, giant, humungous tree hole

The tree hole wasn't big enough for humans. We saw a tree hole and we thought an owl lived in there.
Check out this picture we found. A car is running through a hole.

tree hole- a place to live in

I liked seeing the tree hole. It was cool.
We thought something lived in there but we didn't see anything.
Maybe it was completely hollow and went up the tree. Humm, it's a mystery.
Maybe a woodpecker pecked it and made it a hole. Or maybe a bear clawed it. Humm, it's a mystery.
Maybe there are timber beetles inside the hole, of course. They eat holes and make a home. Timber beetle eggs are in the home. They feed them fungus, then they hatch and become grown ups and they move out and go to another tree that's scratched. Or they get eaten by woodpeckers.
Garter snakes, or flying squirrel sometimes live in the tree.
Uncle Matt, How many days until you come back? 20? 60? Oh, I told you to call me on this blog too.
What does a dog say when he touches the tree?.... Bark! It's because tree's have bark. That's my joke, that's why I put it on there.
That's all I want to say, Bye.

the tree little pigs

One time there were three little pigs. And a big bad wolf. And he said he would huff and puff and blow their houses down. He blew one. He blew two, and he blew three.

The end.
(It looks like I'm building a robot pig.)

bad, really bad, dream

I had a really bad dream last night. And it was me that fell out of a Nascar. And I got run over by Nascars. I crashed and my seatbelt unbuckled and I fell out of the car. Well, actually I didn't go to heaven because all of the guys stopped, and also the rescue guys, the pit crew came over and all the cars stopped. They said, "Are you ok". And I said, "yes". Only, that I broke my arm. Well this kind of Nascar only had one-point seatbelt and he only buckled when he was coming out of the pits. And then the seatbelt unbuckled because I crashed.

Today, we were going to put the leaves in alcohol and then in then it will change color, into the alcohol color. From that science book, just like the flowers. You know the flowers thing? I'm doing it with Amy.

66 books

"I learned that the Bible is a library. Isn't that cool?"

"I learned that the Bible is 66 books."

"I learned that Abraham lived 4000 years ago in Iraq."

"Also, something about a blessing."
(Pa Tom is Marshall's bible teacher.)

Museum

I went to the museum today. My mom took this picture. The bear is in the picture. And Stewart. Oh! I almost forgot to tell you! Call us, Uncle Matt, ok? Whenever you read this, call us. Well, what have you been doing? Have you been doing a lot of fun things? What? What have you been doing? Well, that's all I wanted to say. Bye. My talking power is out. Look at the bear.

We made a birthday cake. You can see the video. I liked playing. The pictures were cool. This picture is upside down because it's funny. I liked taking this video Uncle Matt, it was cool, like a volcano. That girl is Katherine. I think that picture looks cute where Katherine is looking at me. I liked taking the pictures HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE MATT!

tree

Chapter One.
I loved coloring my tree. It was so fun.
The stuff below the tree is water. It's green water because I didn't have the blue water. It's a river, not a lake. The other stuff is the dirt and grass. It grows into the dirt by the roots. There usually isn't much sun under trees, so grass doesn't grow.

Chapter Two- the mouse.
Soon the tree became smaller and smaller and smaller until it was as small as a mouse. Well then an evil mouse came by and knocked out the tree and pulled out it's roots. It was a maple tree...actually it was a fir tree. The tree grew back. It was a ghost tree that could stay alive forever.

stretchy powers

My mom has long strechy arms. Stewart has more fingers than we usually have. And I can make my head bigger and bigger. Nigel is not in this picture.
And I'm going to draw Daddy and Nigel in there soon. Daddy's going to have powers to stretch out his lungs. So big that they move the food away from the stomach. It it gets wider. Nigel will have powers of the ghosts. Do you know what the powers of the ghosts have? That all of us never die.
We can have other powers too. We got them first when we were born. We are supposed to just play with the powers and just for fun. Like if I was wrestling with daddy, I would bonk his head.
This thing is the tree trunk. It's so wide. The tree grows sideways and up. The tree has a power too. It's just for the birds, to stretch it out, for the birds to play with it.
This is "s" for superpower.
Uncle Matt, this is a pretend story. Uncle Matt, you already knew it was a pretend story, right.
That's all I want to say, bye.

hunga

I rode the tractor at Kaela's grandparents house. I played on the tractor. I carried carrots in the tractor to inside from the garden. I was driving away from them and they were chasing me. They couldn't even catch me because I was going so fast. I acidentally slowed down but they didn't catch me.

I liked riding on the ponies at the Apple Festival. I did apple bowling with real apples and wooden pins. And got a treat- a candy. I had a face painting at the apple festival- a bow and arrow.

The amish people didn't want us to take their pictures. They had buggies that horses pulled. There were little cute goats on the farms. If Stewart was scared of the dark we wouldn't be able to live there. Stewart, you're not scared of the dark.

I saw cars

It's called the ACD Museum (Auburn- Cord- Duesenburg). I saw really cool cars. One was orange and red together. It had white-wall tires.

There was an Endeavor III (yellow truck behind gas pump). That's the truck that went 224 miles an hour. The truck got wrecked. The one wheel popped and then the whole car fell off.

There was a car that had three wheels (green car). And also, it was cool. You should see it Uncle Matt.

we went to the science museum

I liked the science museum. It was really cool. My mom did the super high wire bike. It had a net under it so you wouldn't fall.

I went on a moon walk. It is a very bouncy thing. Like Nigel's thing in the kitchen.
Also, there was a tilty room and planets room.

The End.

Uncle Matt, this was a true story. You can see it on the movie.

hotel

It was fun going swimming tonight.

worst nightmare ever

Chapter One.
One day, I was walking, walking, until I stopped and saw a killer bee. And it stingged me to death.

Chapter Two.
I came back to life because of God. It was beautiful, beautiful. That was what it was like to be dead. It was beautiful in heaven.

Uncle Matt, this is a pretend story. It was just my dream.
On the first part, I got stung by a killer bee so that's what made it a nightmare.
I had another dream, that was a field of flowers.

Mama, What was your dream? (I reply that I can't remember it.)
Maybe I would need laser vision to look in your brain and see if it ran away. If you had laser vision you could look through our house and into our neighbors house. Or maybe you got night vision and laser vision.

Seeing Mrs.Griffin

Today I saw my teacher Mrs. Griffin. And it was fun seeing her. She was so happy, I was so happy and she hugged me.
We were in Irvington because we spent time with Fiona. We also went to the Post Office this morning. We studied the letter "P".
Uncle Matt, how many more days until you come back? 50?
That's all I want to say. Bye.

Holliday Park

I had a fun time at Holliday Park. I drew this picture. I liked Holliday Park. It was fun. So Uncle Matt, what have you been doing today? How many more days until you come back? 50? 60? 70? 80? 90? I liked playing at Holliday Park. Love, Marshall.

Holliday Park Nature Walk

One time, I saw a bug! And it was at Holliday Park. The bug flew away and had wings. Uncle Matt, you can see the movie I took about it.

Bees were chasing us because we were eating applesauce for our picnic lunch. Mommy thought she was going to get hurt, but she got up and ran away. They chased her. Mommy made a trap with the applesauce and she put it on different place off the blanket. That was so they wouldn't attack us.

There was this net thing, and within the net thing there was a pocket.

That's all I want to say. Bye.
